The Ministry of Housing Program

Providing grant funding to support early feasibility analysis, which helps churches turn their housing visions into reality.

In partnership with DCG Strategies, The Ministry of Housing Program aims to assist churches in the San Francisco Bay Area with developing affordable housing on their underutilized land, especially in light of California's housing crisis. The program provides grant funding to support early feasibility analysis, which helps churches turn their housing visions into reality.

Key program offerings include:

  • Grant Funding: Churches receive financial support to conduct preliminary studies necessary for development.

  • Workshops and Seminars: Educational sessions are organized to guide churches through the complexities of the development process.

  • Access to Experts: Churches will be connected with real estate development experts who can help them understand their property’s potential and navigate the steps required for housing development.

The program also provides a Pre-Development Feasibility Analysis, which assesses whether a proposed housing project is feasible, both physically and financially. Selected churches will have access to personalized coaching, workshops, and in-depth analyses covering zoning, architectural designs, financial planning, and legal considerations.

This initiative is open to all faith-based organizations, particularly churches, across nine Bay Area counties, encouraging them to respond to their communities' housing needs.
