The South Hayward Coalition for Resilient Communities

The coalition consists of five partner organizations, La Familia, Eden Youth & Family Center, Glad Tidings Community Development, South Hayward Parish, and the Regional Pacific Islander Taskforce. The Coalition provides outreach, prevention, community engagement, health promotion, education, increase access to care, and social marketing strategies. These are informed by proven public health best practices, culturally relevant and tailored to increase language access to populations and subpopulations living in prioritized zip codes and Healthy Places index quartiles.

Included are the development of culturally relevant public health messages and materials about COVID-19 containment, treatment, prevention, vaccines, and responding to the public health and negative economic impacts of the pandemic. Each organization oversees the dissemination of those messages to their target population. We are reaching and engaging priority sub-populations in vaccination activities, including assisting with appointment scheduling confirmation and referrals. While facilitating efficient and equitable Vaccination POD operations by providing a wide range of non-clinical customer/client service roles at PODs.
